On June 5th as many as five players of FC Krasnodar capped for their national teams as part of the preparation for the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament that is to start next week in France.
The three players of the Bulls summoned to the Russia national team played in Monaco against Serbia. Striker Fyodor Smolov made an early appearance in the game and was then substituted by Pavel Mamayev during the half-time. As for Dmitri Torbinski, he came in on the 76th minute replacing Georgi Shchennikov who was playing on the left flank of defense. The scrimmage ended with a 1:1 tie. The opener scored by Artyom Dzyuba on the 85th minute was followed by an equalizer of the Serbian team three minutes later; it was scored by Aleksandar Mitrović.
Centre-back Andreas Granqvist spent full 90 minutes on the pitch in a game vs. Wales, the Russia’s opponent for the Euro 2016 Group B. The Sweden national team smashed the Welsh 3:0 at home in Stockholm with the goals scored by Forsberg, Lustig and Guidetti.
Another FC Krasnodar defender, Stefan Strandberg of Norway, came in as a substitution on the 73rd minute of an away game vs. Belgium staged in Brussels when all the goals had already been scored. The home team celebrated a 3:2 win thanks to the goals by Lukaku, Hazard and Ciman, while King and Berisha scored for Norway.
