On October 9th another matches of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification (UEFA) were held. FC Krasnodar representative took part in one of those.
Midfielder Tornike Okriashvili made the first eleven of his Georgia national team that met Wales, the bronze winners of the recent UEFA Euro 2016 where they smashed Russia in passing, in an away fixture of the Group D. The home team scored a quick opener when the corner kick next to Loria’s goal ended with a precise shot by Gareth Bale. The Georgians succeeded with an equalizer however, 12 minutes after the half-time interval. Tornike Okriashvili responded to a diagonal pass by Qazaishvili sending the ball into the net with a header at short range. The score did not change until the very full-time, so Georgia won their first point in this qualification tournament. As for the FC Krasnodar player, he was substituted at the death due to tactical considerations.
